Fundraising Information

Why Am I Walking?

The fundraiser is a benefit walk around the Big Island to raise awareness and monies for children with special needs.

When the event begins and ends

The kickoff to the event is June 8, 2009. This is the last day of the school year and I will be beginning my walk from Konawaena Elementary. This event will conclude June 19, 2009.

What can you do to support my benefit walk?

  • Donate here at the web site donations page. You can donate on-line or print a form, fill it out and mail it in with your contribution.
  • Contact us for specific ways to support the walk, such as sponsoring the second week of the motor home, walking with me, or helping us raise funds.

What does this fundraiser look like?

It is my goal to walk the entire island. I welcome anyone to meet me at a rest stop or at the end of my daily walk for words of encouragement and support and to talk story.

How can you help me to raise money?

PLEDGE, PLEDGE, PLEDGE! And spread the word. Only by your generosity will I be able to support the foundation and give the children with special needs an opportunity to experience the benefits of this walk.
